Too Human Endgame Tips for playing beyond Level 50.

I can’t stop playing Too Human. I’ve completed the story and leveled a character or two to level 50, but I’ve found an entirely different game after level 50 has been reached. Alternate armor, elite drops, Charm quests, there’s just so much more to be done once you’ve completed the story.  I’ve found some great stuff to keep you going and I’ve got a few tips to help you get those elite items.

Check it out, after the jump.

Too Human is a unique game.  I know that some deride it, and so be it, that just ensures that there will be more people playing Halo and less doofuses playing Too Human.

I’m gonna break it down into three categories: General tips for playing above lvl 50 and getting the elite stuff, and maximizing your Lvl 50 character with a rundown of two of the best  Status effects for weapons and armor.

General tips once you’ve reached Level 50

First thing’s first, as you progress once you reach level 50, you’ll soon realize that you’ll find a ton of great weapons.  Once in a great while you may find an elite weapon.  Most of the time though, the best weapons in the game will be found in the weapon store in Aesir.  That’s right, you don’t need to go traipsing around Helheim for two and a half hours to get that elite two handed sword, because you’ll most likely find it in the store.

Second, you’ll never find elite armor in the store.  So, you will need to maximize your loot drop bonus and put as many of the loot drop runes as you can on open armor slots to get to that 15% max.  Believe me it will help.  Maximizing your loot drop bonus not only nabs your the higher level stuff on a more regular basis, but you’ll get more health drops as well.  If you’re gonna go on a loot run after level 50, maxing out your bonus is a must.

Third, create alternate sets of armor to capitalize on new weapons you come across.  For instance, as a berzerker, I had a bad ass set of plasma pistols that had a Necrosis +5% bonus (more on that later) that did a hella ton of damage.  I also had a kick ass elite slug rifle that I had to hang on to, in order to survive the battle with GARM, toward the end of the Helheim level.  Also, it’s nice to switch up tactics to freshen up the experience after several playthroughs of the same level.

Ah, yes. I don’t like it, therefore I must be a ‘doofus.’

      Damnit.

nice. I just bought my copy of Too human from gamefly for $35… granted I’ve kept it for a month already… but I figured i’d keep it now. Just gotta find time to play it…

Yes, that comment was directed squarely at you Tweep.

Poor tweep, you picked on him for no reason. EVIL LONO

I really like TH. I have over 150 hours on my Cyber Commando and 60 hours on my Human Zerker.

However, Lono, you are not techinically correct when you say ” you’ll never find elite armor in the store”.

That is not correct, you will not get your character specific EPIC armour set in the shops, but you can get the more sought after and often more rare Elite Aesir armour gear in the shops.

There are three separate complete seven piece sets for each alignment. They cost over 1,000,000 per piece and pretty rare. They are:

Human – Annihilation, Vanquishing Clash, The One. Cyber – Killing Word, Master & Slave, and Spear

      YES! More Too Human coverage!

    • Lono says:

@Dan… Hmmm. I’ve never seen elite armor in the shops. Thanks for the info!

At first I didnt care about the charms, but after maybe…20 hours and getting to level 50 with my first character, I started to complete two of my red charms. They were done quite at the same time and getting +1 to all skills twice made suuuuuch a huge different for my commando! More rifle damage AND hybrid damage…playing with a plasma rifle…just awesome.

I think my damage stat for the plasma rifle is almost 700, now.

So the read charms are really worth ur attention

I also have to agree, that the red weapons are easy to get after a while, just go to the weapon shop every now and then :)

      The armor:
At first I planned on getting the full elite armor set…stupid idea haha

After hours and hours without getting any red armor stuff, ich found some aesir armor pieces(orange loot, not red), which are quite awesome, because u can customize them with your own runes :)

…but after 150h with my commando I found 2 elite armor pieces, so I mixed the sets a bit with the elite chest piece and some aesir pieces, too :)

      So far…

I absolutely this game(and denis dyack of course ;) )

    • Gin says:

      Sry for double post, but:

@Dan: Thats right, u can get the aesir armor in the shop, but that´s orange stuff, isnt it!?

So theres no ELITE armor to buy, I think.

      Lono

Here is a link to check out the Elite Aesir sets, they are more powerful than the EPIC character sets, because each one is slotted with a red rune and 3 slots remain open, so you can slot your of red runes and masteries. The Aesir sets have become the hardcore Too Human player favorites.

I hate to say it, but the nine comments after mine really make me want to check out the game now.

    • SG Podcast fan Gav says:

Silly tweep, you should already have too human if you own a 360

    • lunareclpse says:

I had to get rid of this game mainly for one reason, I spent more time in the damn menu system equipping and tweaking every new piece of junk I found rather than playing the actual game. Too Human becomes a game of preparing to play a game, which is fun…..if your a boy scout….always be prepared.

    • TOO KINGS says:

Great article! I’ve learned a lot from this and the comments. This just gets me pumped to play some more, and shame on those that poo-poo’ed this game. Shame…
