This is just such good fiction article material that it can’t be untrue. A new video has been released of an upcoming patch for Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, featuring the Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama and the Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin as playable characters.

Y’know, considering Obama’s self-professed anti-war status, he certainly seems to be enjoying his stay in Venezuela an awful lot. And I’m not even going to ponder why Palin seems to grunt in a very masculine fashion. One thing I will wonder is this: where’s the grizzled war veteran candidate? McCain would fit into this sort of situation more than the other two candidates put together!
Sheesh. First the Hoff, and now these two. Which celebrity (that’s right, I called them ‘celebrities’; come and get me, US political elite) is ripe for a completely out-of-place game appearance next? Piers Morgan in GTA IV’s DLC, having his face pummeled by a particularly angry contestant on an America’s Got Talent spoof? Actually, that’s a really good idea…get Rockstar on the phone, pronto!

McCain should be in the game, but then they’d probably have to add Biden or people would be offended that it’s republican heavy. Of course they’d have Palin as the skin instead because people talk about her more than they do McCain. It would be fun to kill people as an old guy though.

They didn’t use McCain because the game doesn’t have any planes for him to crash.
