More LittleBigGoodness from GameStop?

Rumors of downloadable Disney characters? “Shadow of the Colossus”-themed levels? Will the LittleBigMadness ever end? With new beta footage constantly uploaded onto the Internet, the anticipation for the user-driven title is reaching absolutely ridiculous levels. Seriously, I bet more than a few gamers would trade their immortal souls for a chance to test drive Media Molecule’s baby before its Oct. 21 release.

While the game looks to promote originality and creativity, many gamers eagerly await the release of content based on their favorite franchises. In early August, PlayStation.Blog revealed that certain retailers would be offering Nariko and Kratos costumes to those who reserved a copy of “LittleBigPlanet.” Kotaku later reported, based on information from the “LittleBigPlanet” News Site, that the Kratos outfit was exclusive to GameStop. However, a new advertisement from the game retailer has revealed that the company will be dishing out not one, but three “God of War”-themed “LittleBigPlanet” skins.

Alright, so you might have noticed the embedded video below.  It contains all of the pertinent information you desire, thus making this paragraph completely obsolete. However, as a responsible journalist, I feel the need to put the footage into proper context. Essentially, it is a GameStop commercial that flaunts a “unique level pack” for the adorable platformer and three “God of War”-themed costumes for Sony’s lovable SackBoy.  In addition to SackKratos, the ad showcases a Medusa outfit and a minotaur skin . Or, if you only understand LittleBigSpeak, a Sackdusa and a Sacktaur.  There, journalistic duty accomplished. Feel free to enjoy the video.

The following picture comes directly from GameStop’s official site.

Though I detest GameStop, I must say that the retail chain is offering a pretty sweet package for Greek mythology enthusiasts. If I were going to reserve a copy of the game, I would probably give my $5 to R. Richard Fontaine’s evil empire.  However, “LittleBigPlanet” is not one of my top priorities during the month of October. I am not saying that I am not interested in the game, but I will have to finish “Dead Space,” “Wario Land: Shake It” and “BioShock” before I start playing with my SackBoy.
