As the 18th fast approaches, there’s a few points of order to take care of. First, have I stocked the appropriate amount of adult diapers to get me through the 24 hour period. Second, what the heck am I going to be playing for 24 straight hours?
Let’s talk it out, after the jump.
I’ve got a ton of games. PSP, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii games. I still have games like N+, Bionic Commandos, No More Heroes, Motorstorm, Mercenaries 2 and others that I have barely touched. There are other games that I’ve neglected lately, such as Civ Revolution, Soul Calibur 4, Battlefield: Bad Company and GTA IV that need attention as well. Then, there are the games that I want to finish again, such as Half Life 2, Mass Effect, or Metal Gear Solid 4. What about the games that I simply want to keep playing, like Rock Band 2, Burnout Paradise, Castle Crashers or Too Human. Finally, there’s the new purchases and rentals, such as Wipeout HD, Eye of Judgment (got it on sale for $24.50 with the camera!), Dead Space, Legendary and maybe Pure.
What the heck am I gonna do? Well, now that I’ve brought it up, what are you gonna do?
I thought about breaking it up into hourly sections defined by console type, such as the Wii Hour or the PS3 hour. I’ve also pondered switching it up between multiplayer games vs. single player games, to switch things up.
We’ve also got some special plans for multiplayer games within the people participating in Extra Life. Believe me when I say that we’ll have some pretty special people to game with, when the day comes.
All of that will be revealed in the coming days leading up to October 18, 2008.
So, two questions for the community, how are you planning to break down your playing time and what games are you absolutely going to be playing?

Well, this is all hypothetical because Xbox’s disc drive died (I finally felt like playing halo, so I put it in, I guess it choked on the halo 3 disc >__>) so I probably won’t have one on the 18th, but I’d probably end up doing the endless setlist on RB2, finishing Mass Effect, finishing Mass Effect, beating the CoD4 campaign on veteran, among other things.

I agree…I could sit for more than 24 hours playing Fable 2. I’m sure I’ll be playing a lot of Rock Band 2 so that my boyfriend can play and not feel so lonely without me for 24 hours! I’m definitely polishing off my shelf of games I haven’t finished for Xbox360 (I have a TON) and shooting for some achievement points.

my team and I are going to have a multi screen set up for all our consoles and our PC’s…we’re even probably going to go retro with the Genesis and old nintendo consoles…we’re just got to keep the games list as a play it by ear thing :p

I’ d love to see a schedual for multi player online games (with contact info ) so we could get in on the action .
Myself , I will probably start of with some wii golf with a freind or two then flip over to geometry wars see if i can get a few more acheivments and then some Too Human . I know I want to play some rockband 2 , but only for four hours max , as i start to see double notes as my eyes bleed down my cheeks after that .
COD4 is on the ticket for later , as is halo 3 , and mabey even some Gears of war . GTA 4 would be a good filler too , I still haven’t finished the game and i haven’t goofed around online yet might be a good opertunity.
I would love to play with some of the guys from the site , it would definately build a stronger community .

Civ Revolution. I’m addicted now as it is. Maybe some Silent Hill and Gears. N+ till I get frustrated, and probably Lost Odyssey.
