We at Sarcastic Gamer love a good contest, even if some of our prizes never arrive, that is, if community members are to be believed. Well, I’m taking a crack at it this time, and I’m giving away something not so special. It’s not much, and it’s kinda old, but it’s the first giveaway in a little while, so here I am to spice things up.

Your task is simple (read the title above), with proper details and conditions available after the jump.

Okay, here’s your mission, if you choose to accept it. Your task is to look at the eleven photos I’ve taken inside PSN demoscene project and “interactive art” piece Linger In Shadows (review here) and to pick one and only one of them, and add a funny LOLcat caption. I pick the best one, and you win Casino Royale on a region-free Blu-ray. That’s all.

For those unfamiliar with LOLcats, the idea is simple: take a cute animal (cat, hamster, rabbit, etc) and add a funny caption to it. With Linger In Shadows there’s only one cat, one dog, and a huge tentacle monster so we’ll need to relax the rules a little.

Just come up with a LOLcat-esque caption that looks like a LOLcat, reads like a LOLcat and makes me laugh. For some examples of LOLcats, check out ICanHazCheezburger.com.

That prize, in full, is a like-new, unused copy of Casino Royale on Blu-ray. If you’re looking to refresh your memory before Quantum of Solace is released then what better way to do it than in uncompressed 5.1 surround sound and at full 1080p resolution? The back of the box promises to TAKE YOU BEYOND HIGH DEFINITION but I’m not quite sure that’s possible; I’m sure you’ll settle for HD anyway.

It’s also region-free so it will work anywhere in the world. If listening to Daniel Craig in Hungarian or Czech is your sort of thing, there are plenty of language tracks to go through too. There’s also a few featurettes on making the film and such.

My decision is final, regardless of whether or not your one with the really funny caption was as funny as you think it was or not. I’m digressing now. That’s all. Go make one and win. Maybe.

[I'm going to try and  spin this off as a 'to celebrate the release of Quantum of Solace' competition in what will hopefully become a beautiful relationship with Sony, since it'll give their upcoming film some promotion. Hint hint, guys; gimme a call sometime.]
