Whoops! Life With PlayStation goes live “by mistake”

Sony made a whoopsie! Life With PlayStation, the Folding@Home expansion that allows you to listen to music and read up on news and weather while (hypothetically) curing cancer, was accidentally made live earlier today allowing some confused, yet lucky, PS3 owners to get their mitts on it.

It’s since been pulled, but you can read up on the leak after the jump.

One poster at the PlayStation forums was quick to put up snaps from his TV of what was, most definitely, the new Life With PlayStation application including the globe view and the icon and splash screen on the XMB.

In a statement released to CVG, Sony confirmed that the application was genuinely leaked and that it had happened by mistake, while everything was being tested. As for the actual intentional release of Life With PlayStation, the company said that a statement will be made “shortly”.

To be honest, if it’s out there already and working just fine, then why not just bring it out now?
