The gaming world is getting all googly-eyed over the new free update to Burnout Paradise, featuring some pretty kickass crotch rockets. The new motorcycles are all the rage. But behind the scenes there are problems with the update that may take more than an update to fix. Somehow, WoW trolls were accidentally introduced into the driving game, and its throwing players for a serious loop.

“I was trying to find this bad ass bike-jump my friend was telling me about, and as I was turning around, BLAM! I got clubbed by a troll,” said Burnout player Eric Forsythe. “It scared me at first, but now it just makes me mad.”

It’s not only the Burnout players who take issue with this catastrophic glitch. WoW players from Bethesda to Bangladesh are reporting massive discontent.

“All I know was I was on a quest for the Flaming Sword of Garganon and all of the sudden I come out of the woods into this highway,with cars and Motorcycles everywhere. Where the hell am I supposed to go now,” said one WoW player.”

Apparently the problem started when Criterion and Blizzard used the same render-farm within weeks of each other. Data from one game may have seeped into the other and vice versa, causing the mixup.

Criterion executives were quick to downplay the effect of having trolls running around Paradise.

“Look, we understand that a small percentage of players are experiencing some frustration with the WoW trolls being accidentally introduced into Burnout Paradise,” said Frank Isle. “But if there’s anything we’ve learned its that the best way to deal with a troll is to ignore him, and he will go away.”

“All I know is if they don’t get these fucking trolls out of the highway, then someone at least needs to ask them to use a crosswalk or something. They’re messing up traffic!” said Forsythe.
