One of the drawbacks of playing Too human with someone like Lono is the contagious manner in which he tweaks his character. We fight one battle for 5 minutes then spend the next 20 minutes adding gear and tweaking runes. Honestly, its not my idea of fun, but he doesn’t give me much of a choice.

So, rather than staring at my guy, I too spend an eternity in the menus. Sadly, now I find myself getting addicted to tweaking. Because of this new obsession, we found ourselves in some very odd conversations. Some of these sound bites would be truly hysterical, if we were being recorded.

Fortunately, I have the next best thing. Embarrassment follows, after the jump.

Here are some things I never thought I’d ever say, or never thought I’d hear Lono say. Keep in mind that ALL of these quotes were uttered in COMPLETE seriousness.

Lono: Dude those wings look pretty bad ass on you, but I think you could do better than pink.

Doc: Can we please go back to Aesir for a few minutes? I need to go buy some red runes. My guy is totally clashing.

Lono: The Deep Red Sword of Forbidding! What the FUCK could that be I wonder. Holy Shit! (He was serious)

Doc: I need some better pants. Do have anything that’s less metal and more stretchy?

Lono: I need some more runes for my pants. Do you have any purples I could put in there?

Doc: Dude I need your sword thing now. Please I’m begging you (referring to the Fenirir attack)

Lono: What the hell happened to my shoes? I had the perfect pair to go with these pants and they’re gone. Doc did i give you my good shoes?

And that’s really just a taste of the silliness. I have spent my life making light of people that get too into their RPG characters, and yet somehow insidiously I have become one of them. Oh well.

If you can’t beat em’. Join em. But at least wear complimentary colors.
