I like Tina Turner before me, have survived Ike. There was no flooding, but my
power is still out. They project that it could be weeks before Houston has power
again. Good times. The internet is still working and the generator is cranking
out the energy as long as we can keep gas in it.
There was some minor roof and fence damage, but other than that the house was
untouched. My father and I have gone out and cleaned up
broken tree branches and fallen shingles from the yard. Our
street was really lucky when it came to damage since some other areas had trees fall on houses and cars.
I wish the best for all of the people in my area. My prayers go out to
those who return are returning to Galveston to salvage their homes. Good luck
guys.
On a more positive note, Ike set back the SGC Podasts getting released. I make
a vow right now that they will start going out Tuesday the 23rd. Be ready for
some community created goodness.

Actually since I work in radio, there is no time off for me this week. Radio is the only thing that ignores natural disasters and holidays.
Glad to hear you made it through fairly unscathed , but how did your mum take the loss of her bird house to Ike ? Take care buddy .
