Peter Molyneux has recently sat down and had a chat with the cleverly named magazine, Xbox Word 360. In the interview Molyneux notes that he hasn’t made “the same mistakes I made in the past”, which is a good thing, because, although the original Fable is one of my all time favourite games, it did have some flaws.
Details after the jump.
When Molyneux was asked if Fable 2 had met his original expectations, he replied saying that he’d “rate it a 9 out of 10″. Well if Fable 2 is a 9, then what was the original Fable, Black and White or, dare I mention it’s name lest it raise its filthy head and bestow us with some unwelcome expansion packs, The Movies (only joking, The Movies was ok)?
Molyneux goes onto mention how his previous games had a lot of good ideas that didn’t necessarily work well together in the final product, but says that Fable 2 is ” the best, most complete game I’ve ever worked on.”
Then again, this may just be some elaborate sales push given that the game has gone gold and is arriving on shop shelves on October 24.
Just as a test run, have a look at our Fable 2 screenshot gallery below and let us know what you think in the comments.

Wow great graphics lol
I really don`t think it is some kind of odd sale push. Peter puts alot of effort and time into these games. If he thinks his game is a 9 out of 10, after he has played it for god knows how long, then we should believe him. Calling it a marketing push is kinda disrespectful.
@youstolemykill: Gawd, I hope you’re kidding. Otherwise, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to sell you.
Oooh! How much? I just got sold a red one in San Francisco that the guy told me was nice!
@youstolemykill
I was merely saying that it was an option, I never said ‘it is definitely is a sales push’.
As I mentioned in the article, the original Fable is one of my favourite games, why would I be disrespectful to someone who made a game I love so much?
PAX Fable 2 impressions, coming soon!
Given the question, I don’t think he’s rating the game as much as he’s rating how the game has lived up to his expectations.
