I am 100 percent certain that I will not play Sonic Unleashed after watching this trailer from Sega. Honestly it looks like running in a straight line. A GORGEOUSLY RENDERED straight line. But a straight line nonetheless.
I think there comes a point where a game starts to become chaos and begins to look less and less fun. What’s the use of all of that scenery when you can’t even look at it? Maybe it’s just not my type of game, but meh.

Just when you thought Sonic couldn’t get worse….
Seriously… Why not just make a 2D sidescroller with beautiful HD graphics? That’s what people want! And not nearly as time consuming as a full 3D “adventure”.
honestly, I don’t see the problem. looks like sonic’s FINALLY gone back to his roots, just in 3D, this time. could be fun… if you’re an old-school fan. I don’t get the “Werehog” angle though. anyway, my kids and I are looking forward to it.

That’s what Sonic is. In the old games, you just held ‘right’, while occasionally jumping.
Doc, sonic (and mario) platformers kind of have that same mentality… However, this just l0oks like Sonic Adventure 3 with occasional FROM THE SIDE VIEW!!!!11!!one graphics. Basically, it’s not worth your money to keep paying Sega for their retarded 3d games. Eventually, I’m going to hope they realize to make a Sonic the Hedgehog 4 in 2d or at the very least discover 4d because 3d sonic has overall sucked.
I tells ya, they’ve taken all the bloody fun out of this game. When it was just a side scroller and all you had to do was jump at the right time it was GENIUS. This? Motion sickness after two seconds of video? Not having a clue which axis you’re meant to be launching into?
Total crap.

I’m actually cautiously optomistic for this game. I enjoyed both SA 1 and 2, but this looks to be a lot more fun. I’m glad that they’re trying for a “Modern 2D” gameplay, and the game looks pretty gorgeous too. *crosses fingers for the wii version*

I agree with Eoco. It’s like a good rock album: Fast, awesome sounding tracks, with the occasional slow down song.
I just hope that they don’t focus too much on the werewolf…

Sonic and Mario was an interesting set-up, but it took so long for people to get used to the game and win a few missions. I think they should make a sonic game with a sidescroller style like they started with, but with better effects and characters and all that extra crap. Otherwise, they should stick with putting him in other games as a fun and cool player. (Super Smash Bros Brawl) I loved Sonic, but for fan’s sake, can’t they quit it with 3d “adventures” that are just really cool LOOKING?!?!

I always get an adrenaline rush when playing a Sonic game, sometimes I even play with a fan pointing at my face and while wearing goggles.
That’s beside the point though. The point is, this game will rock.

ya this looks like the first sonics plus some combat stuff so i really don’t see what the problem is don’t get me wrong i will not be buying this game but it doesnt seem horribly disgusting either…. and besides it can’t be worse than wii music right?????
