Our very own codinthepocket from the SGC sent a couple of tips my way about some more bargains hitting the UK today. Blockbuster are flogging games on the cheap and Morrisons have put the prices of their SD cards down, which might be good news for the 4 Wii owners out there who actually make use of the card slot on the front of their console.
All the details can be found after the break!
According to cod, he was able to buy ex-rental copies of Crackdown and Mass Effect for £9 a pop, netting him both games for a cool £18. He also scooped the original Rainbow Six: Vegas for 8 quid. Naturally, it’s a bargain, but one must remember that ex-rental stuff is out there all the time!
A quick tip though: if they don’t give you a receipt, demand one. Rental games can be in pretty terrible condition and might not always work as you’d expect. If they don’t work, you’ll need some kind of proof of purchase (ie: a receipt) to prove that you bought it, or else Blockbuster - or whoever you bought it from - are not legally obliged to take it back from you!
At Morrisons, the discount this time isn’t the games (which were half-price across the board for a week, if you remember) but memory cards, which might be handy for backing stuff up on your Wii, or if you’re just looking for a cheap piece of flash memory. 2GB SD and microSD cards are being flogged for a fiver a pop, so it’s totally a good idea to buy as many as you can and put them on eBay. Or sell them to your friends and net a profit. (We totally don’t condone this, by the way.)
So then. More bang for your buck, once again; well, strictly, more play for your pound. Or something. Remember, if you find a bargain elsewhere in the world and you want to share it, drop me a message on the forums or email me using the links on the right.
Cheers, cod!

Well, thank you!
It was a shame that the Morrison’s near me sold out of Micro SDs so quick, because they are for the R4 chips, and as I really want a DS, it would’ve been great if I could have picked up a cheap memory source.
Tip: If you want to get in on the deals, go and get them as soon as you find out about them, if you are going to use the deal, otherwise you may well miss out!
