SG Bargain Hunter: Beyond Good & Evil for £2.50 Delivered

The SG Bargain Hunter has sighted the rare lesser-spotted Beyond Good & Evil for £2.50 at Gamestation. It’s pre-owned and on the PS2, but PS3 owners who possess a backwards compatible unit, will be able to upscale the graphics to 1080p. As I only have a 40GB PS3, I’ll be digging out my PS2 and playing it on that.

If you don’t have a PS3 or a PS2, then your in luck, as the game was also released on Gamecube (you can play it on your Wii), Xbox (though not backwards compatible) and PC. Unfortunately the £2.50 price only applies to the PS2 version.

Also: delivery is free.

The game, like Psychonauts and Ico, is generally regarded as an unsold masterpiece.. While the Metacritic score of 86 doesn’t quite reflect this, it is seen as one of the best games of the last generation, that no-one bought. In other words: you owe it to yourself to buy this, it’s only £2.50!

Don’t forget that Beyond Good & Evil 2 has been announced, so picking up the original will make sure you’re all set for the new game, with regards to the story and gameplay.

I’ve already ordered my copy, but if I were you, I’d place your order ASAP. Gamestation have a habit of letting games go out of stock very quickly.

I was one of the few that bought this game, and it rocked socks. Anyone who hasn’t played it yet really should get around to it (especially for this kind of price!)

I concure, it was a really great game.
And I’m also one of those having bought it new (for the xbox that was).
This means we’re both responsible for the sequel’s coming ! Congratulations.
Still, I wouldn’t buy it for the PS2 myself, it would have sony stains all over…
