Unskipable cutscenes! I only need to watch it once (maybe 4 times), but if I have to try many times to do something, it’s really annoying to watch it over and over again.
Also, bad voice acting is always a drag in storybased games.

I hate that the bullet holes, skids, and blood will disappear over time in Halo 3. I don’t know why, but this just gets on my nerves so much! :)

any secret techniques that give players unfair advantages. Also martyrdom. Martyrdom can go to hell.

I hate cheesy dialogue. ‘Nuff said

Anyone whose played Force Unleashed knows this, Star Destroyer.

My copy of MGS4 is freezing my ps3 constantly with a disc sign on this particular load screen in the game, 2nd play through, the disc is perfect, not a scratch or fingerprint on it, and it wont work.
THATS what gets on my nerves.

Repetitive game play. I don’t mind having to do things once or twice, but when games require the same thing over, and over, and over again….it just grates on my nerves.

Voice translations, especially french ones, they always kill the soul of any game. I wich they stopped translating voices.

controls. most of the stuff mentioned I’ll tolerate if the controls are easy to get hold and have some depth to them. otherwise, I’m probably going to put the game down.

    • Joshua Aaron says:

      bad combat animations

    • Alex-Lives says:

short games, dont you love when you spend 60 bucks on a game that with no effort you beat in one weekend????? on top of that the games has no multiplayer

    • vgplayer36 says:

When I get killed either unfairly or from something I the camera isn’t showing me.

    • SWSilentkiller says:

While some people complain about unskippable cutscenes (which are becoming increasingly rare now-a-days) I do not like when you can’t pause a cutscene, especially when the cutscenes are long (I’m looking at you MGS 2). That is what I don’t like in video games.

    • Apex says:

bad AI drives me insane. Army of two

    • Destyn says:

Those fricking Valkyries in Too Human. Yeah died, come and get me, BUT DON’T MAKE ME WATCH IT HAPPEN EVERY SINGLE TIME.

    • redkilt says:

doing the same repetitive mini missions over and over again to complete every main mission, here’s looking at you Assasins Creed

    • DoomHammer says:

Lack of local co op on a game that really suits it.

I also dislike it when there is no clear indication of where you have to go for a quest either by poor quest descriptions.

And finally no quest direction indication on open world rpgs that need them two worlds kinda failed in that category. For some of the quests i was just wandering aimlessly, still enjoyed two worlds though :)

Very scripted fighting like in call of duty 3 the enemy would always take cover in the same place after you kill one and hit the exact same spot with ‘nades every time!

    • Drauglim says:

the fact that if i want to destroy my friends at FEAR that i have to get my friend tim to buy it and have a system link match (and tim doesn’t like scary games)

    • Havok Saunders says:

      Escort missions.

    • Sean Rendall says:

Having to do a tutorial level on every play through.

      Well annoying :P

    • Flex_Dude says:

Enemies that won’t die because you must do something (you don’t know about usually) before you can kill them. Sometimes I end up wasting a load of ammo before I realise they won’t die. Aaahhhhhh!!!!

    • jcblough says:

unskippable cut scenes/dialog and “the bad guy door”

    • mbmman says:

Short games, bad AI, and wonky camera controls. The fact that I cannot find a decent multiplayer game other than COD4.

    • BAToutaHELL says:

Really bad deaths and bad pacing . Too Human should take a bullit for this one . That Valkrie annimation is terrible , 15 to 20 second is an eternity for me before i get back into the action , on the flip side it’s one of the addicting factors in geometry wars 2 , two button pushes and your in the game again.

Heaven help you if your playing a beserker in Too Human , as your probably up close and personal , clipping along at a quick pace then all of a sudden you die , then you die again ,then you die again , then you die again , then you die again , then you think why am i playing this game ? I want to like it ,and I really do espescially after plonking down my $60+ ,but why does it keep messing me about ?Wow I have just spent the last 5 minutes getting wacked and it’s not even a bloody Boss . Owwwww the Horror .
A tip for Developers the equivalent of this is highway driving , you are doing 120 km/hr then all of a sudden the speed limit drops to 10 km/hr , it will and does send the driver into instant Road rage .

      Good Question Eoco

    • Hatakraa says:

Advertising in games. Games should be fun and personal, not wanting you to go out and buy crap.

    • spunky says:

checkpoints a good hike from where you’re likely to die, or having to drive all the way across town again to retry a mission in GTA….if you’re going to let me try again, why make me drive for 5 minutes to get there.
