I have good news for us Brits, and bad news for everyone else: if you pre-order the eye-poppingly priced Guitar Hero: World Tour full band bundle, you will be issued with a free axe…

…and a guitar.

Not really, no axes will be issued. I was just being extremely humorous. By ‘axe’ I was actually referring to the popular colloquial term for a guitar, and not its same-named wood chopping brother.

Man I’m funny, but not as funny as you would look if you didn’t hit the jump. Wow, that would be mighty embarrassing.

With Activision now owning several massive and popular franchises like Call of Duty, World of Warcraft and Guitar Hero, it’s surprising that they are choosing to spend their wealth on free guitars, rather than merely burning $100 bills as a crude excuse for a heating system, but then again I’m not complaining.

Of course the aforementioned constraints apply, mainly that this offer is only for £150 wielding UK wanna-be-rockers, rather than beard wielding North Pole wanna-be-Santas. The £150 Guitar Hero: World Tour bundle currently contains, within its boxy depths, a guitar, microphone and drum kit, with the extra free guitar serving as a bass and all this will be released on October 26, in the US and November 7 for Europe.
