The Taphouse is one of my favorites restaurants to go to. I go to the Bellevue one all the time, great food, great beer….mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
This is the first podcast I deleted after two minutes of listening. Sound is horrible this week. Maybe next week it will be better. I hope there is nothing importing in this one. Sorry guys.
it isn’t that bad at all Tim… Your loss.
Actually i found that your PAX podcast had much better sound then the 1up yours one.
OMG, the 1up podcast sound scarred me for life…
funny podcast!!
btw, wat was the winning davubla… dave’s word?
Compared to Gamehounds and UncleGamer Radio. This audio is horrible. unfortunately it’s not just my loss. I’m one of the few to let you know it bad. 1up is another podcast that I deleted this week. when the audience is as loud as. or louder the the host. it’s bad.
Call customer service. Maybe you can try and get your money back.
LOL
I had a word that I thought would’ve/should’ve won, but I already own a SumoLounge.com chair and will be getting a 2nd one next year thanks to Frawlz.
My word: Lovesbian
Definition: A man that falls hopelessly in love with a lesbian despite the huge “barrier to entry” for entering into a meaningful relationship (pardon the pun.)
Dave… is a lovesbian.
This podcast is one that I’m going to keep on my iPod for a good long time (at least until next year’s PAX rolls around) because it was one that I was actually a part of.
From the sounds of it, my girlfriend and I were about 40 seconds away from winning a Sumosac. I was wondering how close a second place we came in.
Dude its all of our loss. The microphones that Lono and I were recording on got this awful buzz in them, rendering that audio unusable. What you are hearing is the result of meticulous piecing and processing by Dave to restore what we could from Dave’s lapel mic and the guest mic that was laying on the table for most of the show, hence the reason Dave and our guests sound so good.
This type of audio malfunction is definitely NOT the way we do things, and I hope everyone will take this in stride and know that for future remote podcasts like this, we will do our very best to ensure that we provide the best audio possible.
Thanks for understanding.
Doc
The audio IS NOT that bad….
It’s not that great either though… LOL.
We’ll get it right next year.
Gotta agree with Lono I heard the audio of 1UP and thought someone was attacking me or something – it was unbearable so off that went and on came yours – I had no problems with the audio, yes its not as good but your not using your usual equipment so its fine I enjoyed it
I think the audio is surprisingly good with all the complications they had. Also, they did the podcast in fairly big room from the pics which I assume is a bit different from what they normally do. So the sound will sound a bit different.
Good clean up Dave.
Great job guys with all the last minute stuff we had to do , the show came out great. Sound is not bad at all, considering what happened. Congrats on all the success you guys have had this year. Next years show is gonna kick some serious butt.
