A little while back I covered Play.com’s Nariko Sackgirl giveaway, where you’d receive the Heavenly Sword star in LittleBigPlanet form when you pre-ordered the game from the electronics website. Of course, the US was already getting word that Kratos would make an appearance in the game too, but no UK shops appeared to have the God of War frontman as a pre-order onus. Why not?

According to CVG, the next issue of the UK Official PlayStation Magazine will come with promotional PSN codes which will unlock Kratos inside LittleBigPlanet provided you own a copy of the game. Buy the magazine, get Kratos. Simple as that. To prevent abuse of the codes each one will be uniquely printed on a promotional card inside the bag so there’s no spreading of them across the net.

The new issue of OPM UK will also include the world’s first review of the game, and I’ve watched with envy as the writer who has written the review has played it on his PS3, the title of the game shining under his name, mocking me, as if to say…”Hey, you’re not playing this. You’re mad. And I love it.” I could almost kill that game until I remembered it’s so, ah…cute. That’s right, Blue Show. I said it.

On another note, if you’ve not subscribed to OPM UK it’d be wise to do so from next issue as the first 50 subscribers will get a limited edition Sackboy plushie. Not a big deal to me as I personally think they look rubbish. And they mock me so. But I mock them back. I say, “Hah, you look rubbish.” And they wither. Yes they do.
