It’s been several months since I devoured Grand Theft Auto 4. Since I met best Jamaican pal, Little Jacob. Since my girlfriend was (Spoiler!) tragically gunned down in front of the church where we’d just been married.
Recently, I decided to pay Liberty City a little surprise visit. Turns out the town was waiting for me with open arms.
There’s still nothing like GTA4 for graphics, explorability, or addictiveness. I’m not a completionist by any stretch of the imagination, but I did hit www.whattheydontwantyoutoknow.com on the in-game computer (works on a real computer too) to find out where I could find all of the pigeons and stunt jumps. Like every GTA4 session though, the temptations usually got the best of me, and I would regress to picking up hookers and driving them off of cliffs.
Wifey also caught the GTA4 bug, and spent several hours checking out the opening missions of the game on her new personal profile. It was actually kind cute, there next to her name. Gamerscore 5.
It’s still striking just how above and beyond GTA4 is. There is literally nothing else in its class. If you find yourself with a little case of the “Played-its” dust off your copy and see if you aren’t sucked right back in within moments.

I still love this game. I will play it again after I get this one last god darn Forza achievement!!! How am I supposed to get 1 million online credits, the online sucks!!!!

Nothing makes me return to LC after I finished the story… In previous GTA titles I’d just go mayhem around city, but since GTA4 got so called ”realism” I’ve lost any interest. The DLC may change it, for a while at least.

The replay value for me is in making up our own games…. like car clay pigeon shooting, or sky cops (police chopper, one flies, one shoots from side door, someone else is a ‘car thief’ and you have to chase him about and take him down, aways a hoot)

Im sure GTA4 is a great GTA game but GTA games just bore me. I never finish the story. I complere only certain missions. and just randomly blow stuff up until i get bored which doesnt take long. Im not a GTA man so im sure id agree with you lord butters if i play GTA4

Online on Forza rocks…. just no one plays it hardly any more.
