I borrowed a Nintendo DS to test drive what was already one of my favorite games of the past year on XBLA, and I am happy to report that N+ kicks as much ass on the handlheld platform as it does on the big screen.
For the unindoctrinated, N+ is a platformer that is purposely dressed up like some sort of 8-bit title from years gone by. Don’t let the blocky graphics fool you. Buried within N+ is one of the most challenging platform titles in recent memory, and a game that plays as smooth as anything I’ve yet seen on the DS.
N+ is approachable for gamers young and old, and even my 5-year-old’s short attention span was held for a good while by the same game I poured hours into without a hint of boredom.
My favorite thing about N+ is that you can sink hours and hours into it, or just flip it on for a quick game in the waiting room.
If you have a DS this game really does need to be a part of your library. It’s a no brainer.
This game is a STRONG buy.

Even more of a strong buy on the PSP. I find the 2 camera’s on the DS either 2 close (for the play screen) and too far out (map screen). The PSP is a nice in-between level
At $20, N+ is definitely a must-have.
