We’re several weeks into Extra Life, a 24 hour game marathon benefitting pediatric cancer research and treatment, and I am officially amazed at how fast this event has grown. Today, we’ll be well above 700 registered participants, and already the event has raised a lot of awareness for the cause.
This growth is happening because our community, and communities like ours from all corners of the world, are spreading the word in a ferocious manner. The list of officially particpating sites, plus tons of places that have quietly joined the fray, is ridiculous.
I’d like to ask everyone who has registered to try to and meet or exceed your fundraising goal as soon as possible. Don’t wait until the last minute to bring your personal sponsors aboard, as this makes yours truly very anxious. Let’s keep the numbers climbing, by spreading the word to more participants, and by getting interested sponsors involved now.
Soon we’ll make an announcement regarding T-shirts and several other EXCITING incentives for the growing team of gaming volunteers.
Don’t forget, PayPal has been officially added to the Donation pages, alleviating all sorts of speed buymps for domestic and International participants alike.

Thank you to everyone far and wide for spreading the word. Don’t let up. We still have a long way to go.
