When rumors arose last month that Monolith Soft’s Disaster: Day of Crisis had received an Australian age rating the entire world let out a humongous and almighty “Wow really?”. DDOC had not been seen for nearly 2 years, yet suddenly there was evidence of an impending release. However this is no longer a rumor, as we now know that DDOC will be releasing on….
October 24, 2008 in the UK, though there’s no word of a US or Australian release date just yet. That’s the good news, now here’s the bad news.
Unfortunately DDOC is not actually called ‘Disaster: Day of Crysis’, in which Crytek give away hundreds of copies of Crysis and Crysis: Warhead in a marketing promotion. Even more unfortunately, October 24 is also Fable 2’s UK release date, proceeded by Saints Row 2 and succeeded by Fallout 3 so it looks like I might have to give this one a miss.
However, for those who don’t want to give it a miss, you’ll find yourself controlling a spry little lad by the name of Raymond Bryce, as you evade volcanic volcanoes, hurricanic hurricanes, earthquakish earthquakes and much much more.

Now all we need is Project H.A.M.M.E.R to be released and we’ll be all set to play some 2006 era Wii games.

Project H.A.M.M.E.R. was officially canned. I’m still surprised this one is finally coming out though.
Project HAMMER was not canned. Claude Comair, CEO of Nintendo Software Technologies basically said so himself.
I don’t have a PS3 anymore and I never had a 360, so on October 24, I’ll tell you how it is. How does that sound?
