Okay I have seen some really stupid things on TV, like COPS on G4 with live chat on the screen. But nothing could have prepared me for the “magic” I witnessed this evening. After hanging upside down for 60 hours (minus bathroom breaks and medical checks) David Blaine just jumped off of a scaffold with a wire tied to him, and then disappeared into thin air…. hoisted by a crane, with a wire tied to his back. With camera’s conveniently cutting away.
The announcer just came on and said… “Have you EVER seen anything like that in your life?”
Nope.
Seriously folks, I think I just witnessed one of the most televised screw-ups in the history of magic.
Wah, wah, wah, wahhhhhh!
UPDATE: video from audience member

Ahahaha!!
I didn’t even bother to waste my time with these shows. At least we might see a new Remake on Youtube!
ahaha, tv sucks these days, but this is great stuff.
David Blaine = Fox News sex toy.
David Blane is a joke. He dosen’t do magic, all he does is things anyone could do, but he does it longer.
dude that trick went TOTALLY wrong. I think the cable was supposed to break away or something. The lift operator was saying… bring him up bring him up… you could hear the stage direction.
That was one of the most anticlimatic things that has ever happened to me.
Hmmph.
What about the time he tried to hold his breath and couldn’t? Failed on national television, gotta love it!
@D3NNIS60
He must be very popular with the opposite sex.
An event at my school play was similar, the play was Cinderalla, and when the fairy godmother came in she was supposed to fly in on a wire and gracefully touch the ground, but one end snapped and she swung into the surface, face first, with a crack. It was like watching a pendulum swing, and stop half-way. Like 20 people called 911 at the same time. Her face was pretty bashed up, but it was hilarous to watch.
Is this balls up on YouTube yet? can’t find that moment yet…
lol… maybe Blaine could use some of that “magic” to conjure up a clue…
hahahaha, you can tell that something went completely wrong just by the way he keeps looking up. For anybody that wants to see the ABC broadcast here’s the link:

wow, what a colossal mess up. I love how the ABC guys don’t even acknowledge the mess up.
Just absolute silence… WTF?
“Did your eyes see that?!”
“What?”
“…Yeah. I guess it wasn’t as spectacular as planned.”
This post is written as if Doc was surprised to see that magic is not real? David Blame is an illusionist and this one simply didn’t go to plan
I found sarcasticgamer.com very informative. The article is professionally written and I feel like the author knows the subject very well. sarcasticgamer.com keep it that way.
