BF:BC Secrets revealed in interview with DICE Producer, Gordon Van Dyke

September 25th, 2008 at 2:55 pm · 7 Comments

Doc, Dave and I interviewed Gordon Van Dyke, Associate Producer for DICE’s Battlefield: Bad Company today.  In our interview, that will be featured in Episode 56 of the Sarcastic Gamer Podcast, Van Dyke told us that there were some technical limitations on expanding team chat to include proximity chat, or in-vehicle chat between gamers that weren’t on the same team and that there were no plans on expanding communitcation between the four player teams at this time.

Bummer. What else did Van Dyke reveal? After the jump!

We also talked to Van Dyke about the new Map Pack that will be coming out for BF:BC that will include a patch for a ton of issues.  We talk dog tag lag, teammate separation, clan support and ask all the questions you wish you could ask one of the makers of one of the most beloved and at the same time hated multiplayer games around. Finally, we talk to Gordon about the Battlefield Boycott and whether or not the SGC played a part in the change of heart DICE had with regard to their DLC plans.

All that and tons of other Battlefield goodness on the next episode of the Sarcasticgamer.com Podcast coming out this Monday September 29, 2008.
