I think PSP games and the Ps3 is so open to piracy and downloading games, is because of something that is also working to their advantage.
The Ps3 is open source, you can access it, put linux on it, etc etc. Whilst this is all good, the 360 is closed like everything M$, much harder to go out and crack and pirate.
      Just a thought =)
      Awesome podcast <3 it :D

Bumblebear… piracy hasn’t hit the PS3 yet… sure, you may find disc images in “the usual places” but there’s been no proof that those actually work or that anybody’s successfully produced a way to play pirated games on the PS3 in virtually any quantity. I’ve seen a couple random videos here and there (from a VERY long time ago) that purported an exploit was found, but piracy on the PS3 is NOT a problem… yet. I’m sure it will be one day, but not yet.

      Roth,
Ah i have been proven wrong.
My mistake, i thought i had seen somethings around and stuff, but maybe not.
Its good to know that the ps3 isn’t being hit with piracy as yet =)
But, i thought with the open source coding, it must be slightly easier to exploit it?

@Bumblebear: The Linux stuff is run in what is essentially a virtual machine environment. When you’re running Linux, you get full access to “a” machine for Linux, but the domain of that machine doesn’t include any of the native PS3 hardware/XMB functionality. It’s essentially a generic PowerPC computer to Linux. Nothing there is giving hackers and help with exploits or piracy (yet) other than (yet to be proven working) disc images of Blu-ray games.
