Dear anyone who will listen,

I can’t sleep.  My flight leaves for PAX in under 5 hours and I am supposed to be getting up in about 2 hours…  But sleep won’t come.

I am too excited about PAX.  More than E3, or QuakeCon, PAX is what I’ve been working towards for the past year.  So many people.  So many community members are going to be there.  People who have been words and avatars in my mind are going to become actual people.  Sounds silly, but that’s where my head is at.

Right now, Dave and Lono are at the Blue Skittle party, and yeah I’m pretty jealous.  The party’s attendance is the who’s who of independent thinkers in gaming.  Community leaders who pour their lives into writing about video games, with no idea whether it will ever pay off.  People that are in it for the right reasons.

I really wish all of our writers could be there this year.  Eoco has been working his tail off, along with Yamster and Havok.  Hell, our whole team deserves to be there.  Hopefully, things will be different a year from now.

As it stands, Frawlz and Rothbart from the Playstation Podcast are there, and Dave and Lono are there.  truth and Justice flew up from LA, and numerous other SGC peeps are also lurking…. waiting.

Tomorrow night’s podcast ought to be a blast if we get a few folks.  Hopefully the show won’t drag on forever, and our technical stuff will all work correctly.

For those who’ll be reading SG to find out what is going on at PAX, we’ll try and keep the articles, pictures, and video coming all weekend.

I would like to make 10 predictions for PAX.

1. Frawlz will turn out to be 45% less clingy than he appears to be online.
2. Lono will become a fallout 3 fanboy at approximately 12:06pm tomorrow afternoon.
3. Rothbart will see lots of games.  He will not be impressed by anything that doesn’t run on a platform that ends with “3″ or “P”.
4. Dave’s going to work some long hours editing video, and at some point will likely capture the elusive LonoSnore-us Rex.
5. The Ploogle is going to turn out to be harmless… mostly
6. Truth and Justice will be thankful they don’t make you stand next to a stick to play some games like they do at amusement parks for rollercoasters.
7. Eoco will post more PAX content than anyone that’s actually AT the frickin Expo.
8. Godfree will podcast from a telephone booth, a taxi cab, and a public restroom.
9. Lesley is going to love Seattle and will want to move there by the time we head home.  She will also believe me (too late) when I told her she should have packed a sweater.
10. Nobody will notice that I reorganized the forums today (except the people that read this article).
