Ok don’t be alarmed. What you see above is not the result of some evil wizard’s dastardly work, in which Tim’s skull was ripped apart and spread flat on a table. No, this is fact something much less sinister. The great folks over at CubeeCraft have created a free printable template of Braids protagonist, which you can cut, fold, ruin, print, cut and fold again. It’s fun for all the family (except pets). Always up for a challenge, I decided to give it a go and, to my surprise, I was pretty successful.
Hit the jump for more details, a picture of my paper Tim and a very special video…

Having escaped the clutches of the evil Dr Von Headset, Paper Tim circumnavigates the edge of my laptop in what can only be described as an epic quest. But will he be able to traverse the rocky mouse pad pass? Click for full size.
If you like Braid, paper, paper folding, origami or insufferable frustration, then making an origami Tim may be just the thing for you. I fall into ‘liking Braid’ as well as the ‘aww isn’t he adorable’ and ‘I have too much time’ categories. CubeeCraft recommend thick paper, but some cheap A4 worked just fine for me, however I do recommend a hobby knife for all the tough slits that need cutting out.
It was time consuming, frustrating and painful, but the end result makes it all worth it. Still a skeptic? Look at him, he’s so lovable, don’t you just want to squeeze him and put him in your pocket?
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Preapred to be amazed (I need to get some friends):
