A lot of fantastic video games are coming this fall, among them Far Cry 2. As a confessed map editor freak-of-nature with the last Far Cry, I can in all seriousness tell you that after seeing what Far Cry 2’s map editor looks like, I am going to lose sleep, get in big trouble with Wifey, and set a bad example for my kids when this game drops this Fall.

Over 1000 objects? Weather controls? Texture editors? This isn’t a video game… It’s a GOD simulator!
If you think I’m kidding, just wait until this Fall when I disappear for weeks at a time, popping up only here and there to get people to come and play my maps. I spent a huge chunk of my 32nd year on Earth in the original Far Cry editor stacking cargo containers in water until I’d built a freighter, or recreating 2fort from the original Team Fortress using walkways. Given this amount of control, I just might hurt myself and the ones I love.
Wifey has learned to be pretty tolerant of my gaming. I sure hope it holds up.
Wifey or Far Cry 2….. Far Cry 2 or Wifey.

this game looks amazing …damn that another 40 quid on a game I’ll never see again….already buying Fable 2, Mercs 2, mirrors edge and possibly a few others that are a really good selection of games this half of the year im going to be broke come christmas………time to get out the ‘ole second hand box
Wow, thats amazing that it works on the 360. I wonder how easy it will be to bring in your own 3d objects on the PC side.
web design, if that were possible, this game would literally make BILLIONS of dollars just from people wanting the map editor. One feature I hope there is is rotating on a z scale, like up and down, so you can put a crate upside down if you want. That would give so many more possibilities.
