Somehow in all of the articles and videos that we posted during E3, a gem of a game slipped by without a mention. Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 for the Wii was one of the only Wii games at the summit that didn’t either bore me to tears, or hurt me in some way. (The jet-ski game is brutal on the upper arms…)
Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution 2, as I got to play it, is a fighting game for up to 4 players at a time, with about 20 playable characters to choose from. There are also story and time attack modes that I did not get time with.
The first thing I was struck by was just how intuitive it was to control my fighter. I laid into Dave with a couple of combinations and sent him packing with ease. Then the developer came up behind me and did something of a figure eight with the Wii Mote that pretty much finished my guy. As we duked it out, it occurred to me how silly we would look if you somehow took the TV and the controllers out of the picture.
The rest of the game was a blur of shouting and flailing, but underneath the chaos was a very solid video game. The controls are uber accurate, the graphics are as good as anything I have seen on the Wii, and in the multi-player mode I was playing, the action is non-stop.
Newcomers to the game might benefit from the Ninja Training mini games, as they teach you the moves without making you feel like you’re playing a tutorial.
If you are a fan of the Naruto realm, or you’re looking for a ridiculously fun game for your Wii (Lord knows those are few and far between) I’d say go for it.
A few screens…

You know Naruto is one of those games I have no idea why anyone likes.
I’m actually not a fan of Naruto.
At all.
To tell you the truth, I hate Naruto.
And all anime for that matter.
Although I might keep an eye on this game.
You’re inpressed by a Naruto game on the Wii play Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 and then we might talk.
Wow, Doc doing a Wii article where he’s not ripping on it? What’s going on here?!
I like the Naruto anime (the Japanese subtitled version, not the lame-ass Americanized version) and I liked the newest 360 Naruto game so it’s good to hear that this one is on course to be good too.
this will be a good game but…
This game might be an exact copy of the original bar extra characters as i have heard from different sources (but do not wish to believe them)
Honestly I think this game is only coming ot to battler against the other consoles. ultimate ninja storm (ps3) and the broken bonds (360 (which I also believe to be being released soon to compete with the others))
By what I have seen so far this game has not changed much since the prequel comapred to ultimate ninja and the broken bonds which both have significant differences to gameplay.
final opinion: This game hasnt offered the as much as the other consoles have so far.
ultimate ninja has graphics that are better than Burst Limit in anime style games. The broken bonds has an amazing story that requires some mental efffort (most fighting game storys are just battle afer battle)
This game has to do some stepping up which will most likely happen. sorry for any spelling errors I am tired and cant be bothered proof reading and my MS word isnt working so i cant spell check
it was pretty fun playing this game with doc and dave . It definatly was a lot flailing around. But for someone who doesn’t like naruto or fighting games for that matter , I really had a good time.
