So I have a 4 and a half hour flight, and I forgot to throw some movies on my mac. What is a guy to do on his way to PAX?

I have never really done a live blog like this so I hope you can bare with me on this one. Forgive me if I don’t follow the proper blog rules. (Editor’s Note: Why start now Frawlz?)

So this trek started back in the winter at some point when Lono asked me to organize a PAX get together. Didn’t really pan out due to the fact that the site was so young and we didn’t know what kind of turn out we would have, So Doc made the final call that we would feel the event out this year and then see if we can have an official PAX blow out next time. I didn’t think the site would grow as fast as it has and I am sure that they had no idea that they would have been invited to E3. But all in all, PAX is more about the community. More about the people that come to the site, and play the games. So in a way, it is going to be a huge learning opportunity for the site. We are finally going to be able to meet the people we have been talking to, harassing, making fun of, agreeing with, joking with, and playing with the whole year. (Editor’s Note: Sadly Docblocking is impossible in real life)

A year since “The Surface Parody”…

A year since I threw my screen name Frawlz for the first time in the SG forum…

(Editor’s Note: A year since the creation of the now nauseatingly infamous personal slogan “Frawlz in your mouth”)

And 18 weeks since the first SGPSP, I am sitting on a plane on my way to PAX. (EN: God help you Seattle!)

So enough of the dramatics, and enough of my reflecting. (EN: Enough? This is your first blog post in 4 months and you’re finished?!??!)

What is going on now…

Well, without sleep I made my way to New Jersey flagship airport Newark.

Oh what a crap airport. And at 5am, it sucks even more.

6am flight.

They charged my 15 bucks to check in a bag.

I’ll repeat this… they charged me 15 bucks to check in “A BAG”. (EN: You don’t fly much anymore do you Frawlz?)

I can’t even fit a pair of my enormous jeans in a carry on bag. Let alone 5 days of clothes. (By the way… whenever you pack, make sure you always bring an extra pair of underwear. Trust me.) (EN: Epic advice Frawlz)

So I made my flight and made it over to Chicago. Now there is a slight back-story here. I had a choice to have a direct flight, but be being “Wii not so fit” I needed to have a layover to stretch my legs. Ok, lets face it, a 300lb man cannot make it 6 and a half hours in coach. The flight also gave me the opportunity to arrive the same time as Dave and Lono. Provided that Dave isn’t stripped searched, and ends up missing his flight. (EN: See? He planned his stalking people!! Proof!)

Don’t know if you guys are fans of Guster, Toad the Wet Sproket, and things like that, but they are great for traveling. (EN: News Flash… Frawlz says listen to music while traveling! Pass it on!)

Back to PAX…

First to hit Seattle is Dave, Lono, Rothbart, and myself. Doc and Lesley are flying in on Friday. I can’t wait to see him Docblock my ass now. HA! (EN: It’s called Choloraform Frawlz. Sleep tight.)

We have a few things going on today…. First off a nap. Yes, I sleep naked. Well, right now I am second guessing it since it is a hotel room. Ok… I no longer sleep naked. Black light… white bright spots, and me sleeping on top… not a good combo. Ewww… just ewww. (EN: Where is this going Frawlz?)

After my fully clothed nap, I’ll head over to Dave’s room and pretend I am going to help him with what ever he needs. I am hoping he just tells me to hit a bar, and have a few drinks.

After Dave bails me out for public intoxication at 3pm, we will then get to work. (Doc told me he doesn’t want any drama,,, we came to work) So, Let’s get to it.

Just so happened that first on our agenda is… A PrePax party! Doc… what did you say about work again? Oh right… once Pax starts… it will be nothing but whoring myself out to developers. Why? So we can have something other then Tee-shirts to give away on the podcasts. Unless they give me a free PS3 to give away, I am not sleeping with any of them. (That was a joke)…. No seriously… that was a joke.

Eh hem…

Tomorrow we are looking to hit everyone up in the lobby of the Sheraton for some podcasting fun. Not only will it give us a chance to meet everyone that took the treck but it will give us a chance to do something that is normally over the phone… face to face. Kind of curious on how the whole thing will work out. Doc has some crazy ideas that he is going to have a 5 man Podcast. Roth and Lono on the same show? Can you say death match?

My money is on Rothbart… bald guys just look tougher.

So the weekend is shaping up to be a blast. I am really excited to not only attend my first video game conference but I am getting a chance to meet all of you. (EN: Sorry frawlz a bunch of people suddenly had to change their plans.)

Sorry if I seem long-winded, and no so much on track… but I’m on a crowded plane and thought I would share some random thoughts with all of you. (EN: Apology accepted)

I am now officially checked into my room!!! Yay!

PAX has just started and there is going to be a flood of content coming your way. So if you didn’t get a chance to make it this year , we are going to do our best to include you as if you were right with us!!! (EN: As long as you’re comfortable with FRAWLZ being RIGHT THERE WITH YOU…. umph)
