For those of you that don’t follow video game slap fights, which you really shouldn’t, let me catch you up on the sordid details. Earlier this week, the folks that head up the E for All Conference sent out a press release touting Pro Gamer Fatal1ty as the “face” of the show. Not to be outdone, Gabe from Penny Arcade released his own press release saying that not only will Fatal1ty not be the face at their show, but that he wasn’t even welcome at the show. While Gabe’s “too cool for school” remarks set off most people’s douche bag alarms, several other Conference and festival organizers have taken up Fatal1ty’s case and has made him an offer that he can’t refuse.
The Discovery Channel has invited Fatal1ty to participate in “Shark Week!” Discovery Channel sent out this press release today:
“There is no one else in the video game industry quite like Fatal1ty and we’re thrilled to invite him to our Shark Week festivities. He’ll bring much excitement and attention to the show and we’re eager to see him interact with the wildlife, which we hope will attract new fans to the Discovery Channel and help broaden our audience.”
The PR Representative for the Discovery channel explained that Fatal1ty amongst his duties that week, he’ll recount his most recent Shark Attack.
Here’s our exclusive Sneek Peek into Fatal1ty’s video taped interview segment, where he recalls a shark attack he recently survived:
“Well, I don’t know if you can call how I was attacked a ’shark attack.’ I mean, first off, sharks don’t eat their own. Secondly, sharks aren’t spineless, unlike Tycho and Gabe.”
Fatal1ty: E-sportsman, Shark Week pitchman AND aquatic biologist. Who knew?

Well, Kalroy, Gabe’s statements and the E for all things are absolutely true….The Shark Week stuff isn’t.
So Grantly didn’t get hooked…
Does that mean that you got hooked because you thought Grantly got hooked when he really didn’t?
Yuppers, that means you hooked me. I mean that situation is so fantastic that it strains the brain to even imagine it would be true. What could possibly posses them to do that?
So I’m gonna support Grantly’s declaration (and spread it on many of the Kotaku commenters) and apologize.

Nice FF post… but could’ve done better w/ the Shark Week gag… or was a comment about Jumping the Shark too easy?
I’m a huge PA fan (neutral about Fata1ity) but lately Gabe has been a huge douche. Their old comics were sooo funny. My cheeks would hurt because I would laugh so hard. Back to Gabe, he’s always promoting their game….I mean, I bought it….and it wasn’t that great. But he’s really starting to piss me off lately…..especially this BS stunt that they pulled. Which I have no idea why they would even go on the record JUST to say that Fata1ity wasn’t welcome to PAX. I mean, wtf mate?
