Well, another week has come and gone. E3 is over with, and my job has finally returned to normal. I’m looking forward to getting back into the captain’s chair of the 360 Gamer Night once again.
I’ve got a full list for you, so take the jump for all the information.
- Xbox 360
Burnout Paradise – Friday, 7:00 PM EST – Sign Up – It’s been a while since I hit the mean streets of Paradise City. I was hoping that Cagney would be released on the 360 by the time the gamer night started, but unfortunately their website says it won’t hit until at least August 4th. Oh well, we’ll find something to do. The game will last for about 3 hours, then I’ll be taking about an hour break for the official gamer night to begin.
Call of Duty 4 – Friday, 11:15 EST – Sign Up – The official gamer night returns, and with the host having absolutely nothing to do until 11 am Sunday, this is going to last far into the night. I’m planning to stock up on some energy drinks. This week, we’re heading back into Call of Duty 4, and the new maps are not required. But of course if everyone in the room has them, we’ll play them. Among the regular game types, we’ll be playing some wacky types just to have some fun. So if you have any ideas, feel free to share them.
Gears of War – Friday, 10 PM BST – Sign Up – The European gamer night is heading into the locust-infested world of Gears of War for some friendly carnage, and you can be part of the action. If you ever wanted to chainsaw Viatrophy in the back (and I know that feeling) now is your chance. Just like the CoD4 night, the DLC is not required, but if everyone has it, they’ll use it.
- Playstation 3
Call of Duty 4 – Saturday, 8:00 PM EST – Sign Up – The Playstation 3 gamer night is hitting the war-torn maps of Call of Duty 4. If you own a PS3 and CoD4, I can’t recommend a better group of guys to play with. I expect the games are going to be intense and quite fun.
- PC
Team Fortress 2 – Saturday, 6:00 PM PST – Sign Up – The PC gamer night returns once again, and this time they’re going to join the Reds and Blus for some all-out Team Fortress 2 action. This is one of my favorite FPS games for a long time, and I’ve heard how much better it is on the PC, so I imagine this gamer night is going to result in some awesome moments. Just be sure to bring your mics and turn them on. It’s not as much fun if you’re playing in silence.
Well, that’s all for this week. Quite a full load. If you have any questions about gamer nights or want to take a stab at hosting your own, feel free to email me using the link to the right.
As always, Game On.
