This time last year, Sarcastic Gamer proclaimed media ass kissers as 2007’s Best of E3 for their ridiculous fawning over Reggie Fils-Aime and Nintendo’s E3 press conference. This year, Sarcastic Gamer has taken a step back, looked at everything that’s offered, from Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, Fable 2, and all of the other number 2 games out there, watched all of the press conferences, and viewed all of the trailers to come up with:

After much consideration, review, meditation and soul searching, Sarcastic Gamer has named its Best of Show:
Brown, the color.
Never before has a color won this prestigious award. After watching all of the fall games be previewed, it’s easy to see why this color was the big winner. It seemed that every game shown was filtered in their favorite shade of turd. Here are but a few examples.
Gears of War 2
Resistance 2
Call of Duty World at War
Fallout 3
Resident Evil 5
Never before has a color so thoroughly dominated one gaming conference. As one media blogger explained: “Brown is the new black. It is to this year’s video games what light bloom was to last year’s games: completely unnecessary and copied by everyone.”
One conference goer said, “Who knew next-gen games would only have one color?”
Well said, Mr. Anonymous Conference goer. To all of the E3 games featuring the latest shade of Turd, we salute the color Brown as Sarcastic Gamer’s Best of E3 2008.

Where is Left 4 Dead on this list. I know it is not that brown. But, all of the Press was hugely buzzing about it . I got to play lots of stuff but the ONLY 2 games that I want and need right now, are Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead.

Those are all sequels and shooters, where’s the originality. A game like Little Big Planet or Spore should of been on the list.
