You may well remember sometime last month that Jack Thompson was in a poor old state as his career looked to be on hold for ten years. In the case of Thompson vs. The Florida Bar, the Bar recommended that Thompson be given an “enhanced disbarment,” which, if upheld would essentially ban him from practicing law for ten years.

However, the judge in the case doesn’t think this is quite enough. Fantastic news follows after the jump!

As you may recall, Jackhole questioned the judge’s suitability and legality of overseeing the case, referencing everything from the Democratic candidate race to xenophobic remarks, which has obviously angered her a little. Judge Dava Tunis has recommended that Thompson is barred from practicing law permanently, and that he should be fined $43,000 in disciplinary fees.

While some of us may have expected this Judge’s report to be unavailable until the deadline in September, others probably won’t be surprised that it’s taken her just over a month to get her report written up and make her recommendation clear. Jackhole’s not helped himself, yesterday issuing a report calling Judge Tunis “raving [and] wild” and “unhinged”, recommending that she goes under psychiatric testing. Obviously, it takes one to know one.

Well, since the Judge has recommended the permanent disbarment of Jack Thompson, preventing him from practicing law ever again, we can really start the celebration now. Get out the streamers, poppers and party hats, and raise a glass to Judge Dava Tunis: she’s made us gamers happy for life. Bye bye, Jackhole.
