New Fallout 3 screens

Fresh from the Maryland headquarters of Bethesda Softworks come these Fallout 3 screens, hot on the tail of the game’s E3 showing.

Hit the jump for the lot!

The various screens showcase plenty of the features we can look forward to when the game launches Stateside this October. You can have a gander at the ‘childhood’ section of the game, effectively a tutorial where you can shape the appearance and attributes of your character before launching into the game good and proper, and check out the VATS targeting system allowing you to freeze time, choose targets to aim at in turn (be it heads, limbs or torsos) and then blow them off one at a time. It’s all looking pretty kickass and I’ve gotta say I’m getting psyched about this, despite only having followed it for a few days. Looks more to my suiting than Oblivion, since it involves, y’know, blowing the crap out of stuff.

Click each one for a huuuuge, HD-res version (but in minimal filesize for maximum awesomeness..or something).

As much as I loved Oblivion, and still do, I am liking how that one guy in that screen shot has an actual beard
