Activision, as we all know, is offering a full band game to compete with Rock Band called Guitar Hero World Tour. The Microsoft Press conference that’s in full swing right now, just made a huge announcement about it’s track listing.

Just now, Microsoft announced that the Eagles and Van Halen would be exclusive to Guitar Hero WorldTour. They also announced that Metallica would offer their latest album “Death Magnetic” as a full album download on the day that Guitar Hero On Tour ships.
Eagles, um okay, Van Halen, getting warmer… Metallica… HOLY SH!T! Death Magnetic… Wha? Give me some Ride the Lightening, give me some Master of Puppets. Who knows what this album is going to be like. Is it going to be another Load or St. Anger, or is it gonna be …and Justice for All?
Time will tell.

Though I do like all of those bands, that still really wouldn’t make me pick up GH instead of RB.

Metallica haven’t gone full GH though, they’ve got a Battery on Rockbands set list too. It’s always fun playing Metallica so I’m not really bothered where it turns up

I didn’t report that they’d be exclusive to GH, just that their new album would be on GH WT.

crap, VAnhalen?? damn, ****, ****, Moth********’s. AAAHHHHHHHH, thats BULL****, why did they go exclusive, ****. As for Metallica, well, what if their new album sucks??? I rather have Master Of Puppets, or Damage Inc. The eagles, blah blah blah, the only thing they got is aaahhh hotel CAlifornia. I just wish we had Vanhalen on Rock Band, then it would be perfect.

Isn’t wondering if a post-1991 Metallica album is going to suck about the same as waking up in the morning and wondering if the sky is going to be blue?
There’s a few highlights there, Hotel California and Jump might be fun, Eruption would of course be crazy, but not sure it’s enough to convince me to pick up a copy.

I think they’re putting Master of Puppets on GH: Metallica. That being said, I don’t think it will show up on World Tour. They didn’t include previous Aerosmith songs (Last Child, Same Old Song and Dance, two great songs!) on the GH: Aerosmith game because they were on previous games, why would they put MoP on GH: M AND World Tour?
