Great News: The ‘WTF?’ Drought Is Over!

I don’t even really know what to say to this one, so I’ll just cut right to the chase… Sony’s Pokemon Snap rip-off Safari Photography simulator Afrika appears to have been renamed (at least for the Asian markets, more specifically Singapore.) Instead of the (now recognizable) name Afrika (with the classy “k” instead of a traditional “c”,) Sony’s gone off the deep end and renamed the game to…

HAKUNA freakin’ MATATA?!?! Capital letters and all… So officially, let me get this straight… this is HAKUNA MATATA for the SONY PLAYSTATION 3 that you play with your DUALSHOCK 3 controller? That’s a lot of yelling…

No news yet if Timon the meerkat and Pumba the stinky warthog are being shoved into the game at the last minute… for a game that seemed to be trying SO hard to be taken seriously, this seems like one of the worst things they couldn’t done to it short of naming it “Imagine: Afrika.” If you think I’m making this stuff up, simply look for yourself. I’m not.

All this talk about Bungie working on multiplatform games and what do you know… are chances of controlling a warthog on the PS3 just increased exponentially.
