Well this sucks. Dave and I were all set to head out to Los Angeles this Sunday, when we both received an email stating the following:
Dear E3 participant,
We regret to inform you that E3 2008 has been cancelled. We hope you will accept our apology for any inconvenience that this last-minute cancellation may cause, however the current global climate crisis demands that we all everything in our power to cut carbon emissions.
The email went on.
The message from the ESA went on.
We calculated that 4,000 members of the media flying in to Los Angeles would emit more carbon than the average American consumes in 10 years. When you factor in the amount of energy and time it takes to clean as many hotel rooms, this decision made itself.
But rather than pulling the plug on all of the goodness of E3, the ESA has come up with an alternative solution.
Conference calls.
Instead of traveling to meet with publishers, all publishers will be available for conference calls, starting Monday. In addition, the Microsoft, EA, Sony, Nintendo, Take Two, and Konami press breifings will all take place as scheduled, except on the phone rather than in person.
So now Dave and I need to figure out what the hell we’re supposed to do with 2 non-refundable plane tickets to LA on Sunday. We had BUSINESS CARDS made and all kinds of stuff.

Sweet.
I hate Fridays, because for a split second I got fooled, again, damn you!
Your mistake in the first paragraph gave it away
“demands that we all everything in our power”
———————^^^^^^——————–
all do everything?
Lol, nice find, Paul.
It tricked me, then I noticed the “Fiction Friday” tag. . . XD
