I am going to keep this brief as to mention anything would necessitate mentioning everything, and I know you’re too busy for that.
This website started exactly 1 year ago today, thanks to encouragement from friends at the Gamercast Network who have been incredible supporters of Sarcastic Gamer since the word go.
From there this site has snowballed into what you see today, visited almost a quarter million times a month by some of the most creative and inspiring community members anyone could hope for.
I want to thank the staff that started this journey with me, like Dave and Rothbart, and all those we’ve picked up along the way.
Dave, your tireless work to produce some of the best sounding podcasts in existence goes entirely too unrecognized.
Sean, if you’re a Sony Fanboy then I’m a Rothbart fanboy. This site wouldn’t have gotten off the ground without you.
DDL, you’re an animal. Thank you for redesigning the site on a whim, and for FINALLY figuring out what was going on with that F&*(*()ing category template.
Lono, you’re a beast, and I mean that in both a good and a bad way, but you are a true friend and an extremely talented personality.
Volkov get off your ass and write. (Sorry for the housekeeping all)
To the rest of the amazing team, I truly appreciate your unwavering trust in me as we swam through this very difficult first year at sea.
To our community members, all 3,329 of you who make Sarcastic Gamer your home, or one of your homes, each and every day, THANK YOU. Thank you for giving us your time and for listening to our podcasts and making us feel so important. Thank you for helping us find new ways to offer a more creative environment. Thank you for giving of yourselves when others needed it. You are a fantastic group of friends, and if Sarcastic Gamer never grows another iota, I will consider myself to be one of the luckiest people ever. I appreciate you more than you will EVER know, but I along with the staff and contributors will keep trying to demonstrate that appreciation until Sarcastic Gamer is no more.
To our 9247 podcast listeners each week, thank you for spreading the word, for coming back even when we had a bad show, and for making us feel like rockstars and idiots, sometimes at the same time.
Looking ahead, we have some really big plans for SG, including a more diverse podcast lineup, greater community tools and options, deeper content, and so much more.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us through the store, and iTunes reviews, and being an activist (BF:BC). All I have in my heart today is appreciation. Here’s to another great year surrounded by the best people on the planet. The Sarcastic Gamer Community.
I’d also like to posthumously thank James Price McKinney. You should have been here buddy.

To hell with thanking us! We should be thanking you for creating such a good site and a good community to go along with it, and we should be thanking you for giving us a good laugh at the same time as giving us our gaming news. There’s really not many sites out there with the same sense of humour and the same sense of community as Sarcastic Gamer, and it’s that uniqueness that’s drawing in your quarter-million views.
I’d also like to thank you for giving me a place on the writing team
Here’s to many more years on Sarcastic Gamer! Happy birthday!
Totally agree with Yamster.
Thank You!
Lono tried to tell me he had a quarter million pageviews to his personal profile per month!
Doc, everyone involved feels the same way about everyone else. We got lucky that this completely volunteer and community oriented project hit people just right and we were able to hit critical mass… while I know we’ve still got plans and goals, it’s no longer a question whether or not the Sarcastic Gamer Community will take off… it already _has_! The question now is where are we headed and who packed the beef jerky? This is gonna be a long ride!
Diverse Podcasts?!
Like a Nintendo Podcast?
Hooray for one year of the best crap ever.
Happy Birthday SG!

Great job guys, I am glad that we made it to 1 year and I can’t wait to celebrate the next.
Thank you all for everything you have done so far. One year is a big landmark, and you have sucessfully created a solid foundation. Remember, as much as you would like to branch out, what you have now is why I am here. Don’t overwork yourselves and get burned out, that said, I am very excited for what the future of SG will hold. Thanks again, and keep up the awesome work.
Love and Kisses,
Atomic Flapjack
@rothbart: Until Sony cough up a blog that provides the same sort of content (I’m sorry, but ThreeSpeech is just terrible) I couldn’t care less about the PS.blog.
@Yamster: Don’t you have some MGS4 to be playing?
Ha ha… your country’s PS blog blows!

To the whole forum community; thank you for being a site worth moderating. You’re the reason I seem to spend about 3 hrs a day on this DDL designed addiction site.
