Okay folks, it’s that time again… time to catch up on all the latest roomahs and juicy tidbits making their rounds on the net!
- New PS3 Firmware Due Soon (no, not that one) - the one that “strengthens security” and other nebulous things.
- Trioxide to allow us to play console games on PCs - and easily remove grease and blood stains from our clothes!
- Crytek looking for PSP programmers - because the PC gaming market just wasn’t tough enough for them.
Continue on for more juicy roomahs!
- Microsoft done with dashboard development, only minor tweaks left - taking time off while competition surpasses them catches up.
- Metal Gear Solid 4 sells 1.3M copies on day one - and that’s just counting the copies I bought!
- Dozens of Team Ninja members abandoning Tecmo - when asked to comment, one replied “Where the white women at?!”
- Xbox 360 to get their own version of Miis - which are rumored to run $.99/frame of animation!
- Microsoft wants to be first to market again with Xbox 3 - in fact, they plan to have the first six consoles to market with revision after revision of the system due to crazy-stoopid QA mistakes and rushing to beat the competition to market.
- Forza Motorsport 3 to ship on 2 discs - and feature “realer” oval tracks. Look out NASCAR!
- Sony working on new “break-apart” motion controller - DualShock 2 Electric Boogaloo is coming!
- Sony’s new motion controller is NOT “break-apart” - unless it’s made by the same folks that designed the SIXAXIS, then only a slight twist will ensure it’s “break-apart”
- You Don’t Know Jack is headed to the Wii - because Buzz and Scene-It haven’t quizzed us enough. Oh who are we kidding, nobody else wanted it. If people wanted snide, sarcastic humor, they’d probably create a website for it or something. doh!
There you have it folks, this weekend’s juiciest roomahs, made bite-sized for easier consumption. Be sure to check back again for the next update.

I wonder if MGS4 really did sell that much.

I don’t see ow a racing game would work on two discs. What if you were playing with a friend and the tracks you wanted to play were over the two discs.Thats one ROOMAH i don’t think will come true.Bring on Forza 3

it begins
the ps3 is now the top selling system and has shown what the 360 is the joke of gamers everwhere.
wait till e3 my friends after e3 you will be trading in your 360’s for ps3’s after you find out what sony has in store.
let me just say bioshock won’t be the first big xbox title to go ps3. rather let me just say soon the ps3 will have a master.

@D mighty oak 3: It could be that Multiplayer is on one disc and Single player is on another disc, or there could maybe be an install to the HD for it… But I doubt the latter. I’m sure its possible, but like you, I dont think its very probable
@iwantmyps3: The Wii is selling more than the Xbox and the PS3 combined. I wouldnt stack all of your hopes on E3, it’s probably going to be a bit crap this year.

The only thing that could get me excited is the first showing of God of war ps3.

@D mighty oak 3: I’m not EVEN going to defence iwantmyps3 (he’s _WAY_ out there), but I did want to put out a word of caution as the PS3 has higher cumulative sales in both Japan and now Europe… the US is going to be Sony’s biggest battle and while they do have a long way to go, they seem to be gaining momentum.
@slik1000: that’s an interesting thought… an install DVD and a play DVD. Very PC-like… but alas, I can’t see Microsoft really pushing the “mandatory install” aspect since not all of their consoles have hard drives.
@PenguinFury: I can tell you this much… I’ve never seen so many people online playing the same game as I have this weekend with MGS4. At one point, I had 13 “friends” playing MGS4 at once… not counting myself.

@Rothbart:I know what you mean, its the same with the 360 in japan those people just don’t seem to like the kind of games we have like First Person Shooters yet they eat up MGS4.
