Why are you telling playstation fans to be patient about anything? Do you not have any compassion?
Is it true that 2 of you DONT OWN PS3s?!
Obviously Rothbart is a fanboy and thats cool, but I just heard 2 of you tell me to be patient when you have no idea what its like waiting on Sony to prove something.
Get on the frontlines and take a bullet in the heart from Sony’s bull**** and false promises before you tell tell the troops to shut up and take it up the ass.
No, that’s not true. Two of us DO own PS3s and while PacManPolarBear doesn’t own his own PS3 yet, he regularly plays his neighbor’s and should have his own very shortly. Also, we cover more than PS3 topics and PacMan holds his own in our discussions. I don’t see the issue.
This is a “Playstation” podcast, not a “Playstation 3 only” podcast. Pacman has TWO PSPs… that’s gotta count for something!

Oh I know. I dont fault them for being in the podcast, I know they’re PSP enthusiasts. Nothing wrong with that.
But don’t talk to PS3 owners about patience.. how patient can the community be expected to be? And arbitrarily no less.
Many of us have been twirling our thumbs since launch. The last thing we need now are more promises and more reasons to wait and to be told to be patient. I know I’m whining, but my patience is gone.. its been used up. Sony has run me dry. We want the original promises fulfilled before Sony rolls out new avenues for revenue.
If I remember correctly, Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton have already done a movie like that… I can’t remember the title (and I don’t feel like looking at the moment) but they were known in the flick as the “Sleepover Bandits.” Wasn’t that great of a movie, if I remember correctly.
WHY would they do another one? Makes me sad to think about…
Keith K: Well, I’ve had a PS3 since launch… waiting sucks, but rushing sucks too. For instance Home… when someone tells you Home isn’t where they’d like it to be before they launch it… LISTEN to them. Releasing now would be a _really_ bad move. Delaying until it’s better at least offers a chance.
I don’t think Sony’s artificially taking any longer than they _need_ to take. I honestly think they’re in “turn around” mode and aren’t making what many would consider the monumentally stupid decisions they’ve been blasted for in the past… so again, waiting sucks, but getting stuff that isn’t ready sucks too.
I wont disagree about rushing things. Im remaining patient about HOME mostly because I really dont care about it. I know what its all about, I dont compare it to Second Life or the Sims, but my general disinterest with online play put it outside my bubble of caring.
However, I think Sony has spent too many resources in the past 18 months completely ignoring everything displayed at E3 2006. Those promises made at E3 2006 were what drove us to buy the system, only to find out none of it was true. Today, it all remains myth, half-truths and lies.
If Sony didnt waste so many resources on nickel and diming avenues that no one cares about, they’d probably have everything people have been complaining about.
A store revamp before in-game XMB? HOME Ad space and microtransactions before Game Launching? Microtransaction laden MMOs over real MMOs and MMORPGs.
Take a step back and just count the resources wasted on digging money out of our pockets instead of putting value in the money already spent. Its really pathetic. Then seeing Qore pop up.. well.. You know how I feel so I dont need to reiterate that.
