One of the nation’s fastest-growing personal storage chains believes they’ve stumbled onto the next frontier in the industry, as they hope to capitalize on the growing space requirements of Wii Owners. Beginning this fall, Metro Mini storage will rent space to Wii owners who have outgrown their system’s capabilities.
“We recognize that Nintendo’s 512mb storage might sound big in a country where people rent drawers to sleep in,” said Metro’s Vice-President of New Business, Allison Dreary, “but elsewhere we are finding that people need more room for their stuff. That’s why we’ve launched this new program.”
Metro’s plan is to offer space at its climate-controlled locations, where Wii owners can store their WiiWare and continue to grow their collection.
“I just dropped off Block Breaker and Toki Tori to make room for Cocato Fishing Master,” said Victor Rablais, a consumer-tester of the Metro’s pilot program. “At least SOMEBODY realizes that gamers need more than a half-gig these days.”

Nintendo just needs an external freezer. Then problems will be solved.

I think Nintendo should just make Mario and Legend of Zelda games. Screw upgrading the Wii. Its got problems, like every other console. I’d rather get the next Zelda game before I am 50 than get more space that I’m not using.
