EA and Crytek just announced that they will be releasing another Crysis, following the parallel story of Nomad’s buddy, Psycho. I don’t blame them for that, but why, oh why would they make it a PC only game? I’m not downing PC gamers, but it just doesn’t make sense.
Game companies are in the business to make money, especially EA. This is why third party titles are rarely exclusives these days. So, if they have a great game like GTA IV or Call of Duty 4, they want it out on as many platforms as possible, to rake in the dough. It took the original Crysis about 4 months to go platnum, GTA IV was platinum before the game was even released.
See the trend?
If this series is as great as it has been made out to be (I have no idea since my computer would explode if I brought Crysis anywhere near my cpu) there is no reason that it can’t be on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
I am very disappointed in EA for not trying to make money with this title. Share, you greedy PC gamers. SHARE!

Dave, the PS3 and 360 WILL not run Crysis. If Crysis were ported it will be so scaled down that it won’t be worth playing. It won’t be the same game.
i agree with you Dave, I’d love to see Crysis on 360/ps3.
But the current consoles can’t handle Crysis.
It looks better than CoD4, has more realistic destruction and environments than Battlefield:BC and waaay more interactivitythan any other game in history (you can litterly pick up anything and use it as a weapon).
I agree with the previous two posters. And the original Crysis hardly sold badly, it hit 1 million copies pretty quickly.
I think crysis would run on a ps3 or xbox for instance shawdow run needs 2gb ram on a pc yet a 360 plays it with just 512mb and thts the gpus ram aswell pc need at least 256mb ram jst for the gpu or take the ps3s cell have you seen the post on the internet about how supposidly the cell and the rsx can beat and 8800gtx, althought i dont know if thats true.
Crysis looks good even on medium detail (which my computer runs it at), so it could maybe go onto the ps3/360. However on max settings is an acomplishment that can only be acheived by computers. Or at least computers 50 years from now.
And how did you manage to mispell platinum when it is spelled correctly 4 words later?
I dont think that bringing Crysis Warhead out on the consoles is a good idea. Mainly because the original wasnt.
I’d like it if the original was ported before the sequel (call me old fashioned) just so i could get to grips with the story (even if it is shallow and straight forward) and see what made it so great.
I could understand if the story for Crysis Warhead was unrelated, but apparently it is, so I’m stuck.
Shadowrun needs 2gb of ram on PC because of Vista. Don’t get me started on that.
YES! I mean HAHAHAHAHA. I mean seriously it wouldn’t work on the consoles, and Crysis isn’t that good in the first place (although I probably will buy it.
This strikes me as odd, given how much they whined about sales totals for Crysis due to its PC exclusivity. Guess it doesn’t matter much if they’re just repackaging the same game with a different storyline, though…All the engine work is already done, so they’ve got very little to lose.
Not only that but the 360 is already packed with console FPS shooters and releasing another one will only cause people to go ‘Meh’ and just shun it in favour of a better one
Remember what happened to Turok, Kane and Lynch, Conflict Denied Ops? This will suffer the same if it launches to the consoles too.
