i’ve been waiting for this since, well i first got here
Well, I’ve listened to the whole thing and I’m a little let down. It has less direction than our trusted Sarcastic Podcast, perhaps try putting together a rundown of what your going to talk about before the show. It seemed too be stretching for content and made the 30 minutes seem painfully long. Maybe making the show 15 minutes would help. Also if this is going to be a Playstation podcast the lets try to stick on topic. Whats good and new? what is an upcoming must have? I’ll still give the next episode a listen, but I don’t expect much out of it. Re-listen to the main sarcastic gamer podcast is a better use of my time and is funner.

I found it pretty good for a first time show.
Downloaded!!!!!!!! It is pretty good for a first installment and don’t criticize just hear sarcastic gamers first episode it was good but not flash but now it is fantastic

Hm, I thought you guys covered the PS stuff enough on the regular show, seeing as 2 of you have ps3s and I dunno how many have PSPs.
What gets left out is Nintendo and PC.
Cause you guys are all “Oh, hardcore console gamer! ZOMG HD!”, but really, the PC still has many great games, but you never talk about it.
You just talk about the console ports.
It frustrates me.
You can leave Nintendo, it’s lost our faith anyway.

Gonna pick up a PS3 as soon as they come out with a “slim” edition! Woot!

I’m inclined to agree. I’ve never felt that the podcast lacked Sony content. If anything this extra podcast just makes it seem like you’re over-compensating.
Oh well, seeing as I have no interest in this I’ll be giving it a miss. Good luck though.
listening to the show as i type heard half so far and seems fine. I saw Nobody’s comment, I agree PC needs some coverage in the podcast even if it only a small amount.
@Anonymous Sarcastic Gamer: Keep in mind that 2/3 of the “regular” podcast crew work in radio and have over 40 shows under their belt (counting Humpday Updates) while 0/3 of the PS Podcast have that experience.
We (and I hope you as well) realize this will be a learning process where we evolve over time. I was talking with the guys before recording the first episode and pointed out that just about any podcast that’s been around for a while sounded _completely_ different (ie. “worse”) when starting out.
@Nobody: We (like any show) will probably need a few episodes to get into a groove and while I realize focusing on the Playstation platforms will automatically mean some of the core Sarcastic Gamer fans will lose interest (if they don’t own or like any Playstation products) the reason I personally was interested in doing this is because given the choice, I’d _rather_ have a new (and hopefully good, even if it takes a few episodes) Playstation based podcast because they’re few and far between. General interest podcasts are great for everyone on the whole, but we’re hoping to prepare something that Playstation owners can _always_ look forward to (even on the weeks when huge exclusives or the general gaming news all focuses on a single title/platform; think about the podcasts from Halo 3 launch week for someone that doesn’t own a 360.)
We appreciate ALL feedback, and I also appreciate the demeanor of the folks that didn’t care for the show’s first episode.

There’s a reason this show is on its own feed. we know its more of a niche program, but as that niche grows we would like to be there with this show. Just as many people listened to us grow on SG, despite having almost no interest in our actual topics, I hope they will find that this show offers an ever-growing entertainment value regardless of its focus.
Nothing has changed. An extra option is now available. Nothing more.
I liked it. Yes, it might have been a little unprofessional, but hey, it’s their first time. Better than I could probably do.

I thought it was put together pretty well. However, I’d rather listen to actual game information and news, rather than the lives of the personalities behind the mics. The story with the cops was funny, but it should have taken 30 seconds, rather than most of the podcast.
I do see the same thing happening with Sarcastic Podcast. It seems like the game content is way short, and its all about the cult of personality of Doc, Lono and Dave.
Thirdly.. whatever happened with Sarcastic-Gamer-Tag-Radio?? Did you guys not live up to your end of the deal? or did I just miss it?
oh.. and.. hmmmm….
I’m still enjoying the podcast a lot. It makes my commute to work much better, if even once (or now, twice!) a week!

@thefriendlyghost: If you play the PS podcast backwards, you’ll get all the news on all the Wii’s online multiplayer games and options. LOL!

I definitely can not relate to what you wrote, I think the best moments of SG podcasting are the times when the crew talks about non gaming stuff, it mixes up the gaming drill and brings some fresh air.
The part I liked the most in this podcast was the story about the cops, and in the last big SG podcast I found Dave talking about his interview funny as well.
I prefer hearing about each person to maybe listening to long mins of Take 2 stock information or something… you get the point.
I ejnjoyed it, it was pretty good

Just kidding. I don’t think that Nintedno products need much attention. I myself own a Wii, and a DS, and I feel no need for a Nintendo podcast. It’s not a very “hardcore” gaming system to me. Perhaps a PC podcast, but not many members own good PC’s….
To all the haters, just don’t listen. Personally, I enjoyed the heck out of that show. It’s about time there was a decent PS3 podcast out there….

As for being unprofessional…If I wanted professional radio, I’d listen to the *gasp* radio. This is a podcast, it should be fun for those doing it as well as those listening to it.
That aside…Sticking to “what’s new and hot” would amount to five minutes of content and twenty-five minutes of dead air their first week. GTA IV just came out. They can either talk about whatever comes to mind and have fun with it, or they can go over GTA IV just like the primary podcast did. You want to hear all that essentially rehashed, or do you want to hear something amusing?

Is this available on the Zune marketplace? If it is, I wasn’t able to find it. But then again, I could have just missed it…
I couldn’t find it on the Zune Marketplace, either, Scott. I had to manually add the feed URL under the “Collection” section in the Zune software.
