Get Sarcastic Gamer Anywhere

May 15th, 2008 · 6 Comments

For months now, people have been emailing me about difficulty accessing Sarcastic Gamer with their PSP’s, Phones, and PDA’s. Today I am happy to announce we’ve begun work on a mobile version of the site that loads fast and makes catching up on the latest Sarcastic Gamer news a breeze from anywhere.

Write it down.

Right now it’s pretty bare bones, but in the coming weeks we’ll be adding increased functionality, including the ability to catch up on the latest user blog entries, gamer night information, podcasts and more. Go ahead and bookmark it on your phone or use the field below to send the address to your device via SMS (The following form only works for US phones.)

Cool! I used to access SG on my phone, but it was a pain to navigate. Too bad I can’t browse on my phone anymore.

(something somewhat off topic: could it be possible to refine the SG archives, to show only the headlines of the articles by month, instead of the headlines + first few paragraphs, it would make searching for an article a ton more easier…thanks)

Now if you could just place a 57 x 57 logo (named apple-touch-icon.png) in the root of your website so I can have a nice shiny SG logo on the homescreen of my iPhone.

Well, I guess I need to get myself a new phone. My old Moto Tracfone disagrees with viewing it.

      @ Doc

Lol, I asked you for an app icon months ago and you said no! Now your secret is revealed, and I am glad I don’t have to load the SG page twice on my iPhone.

Also look forward to the red “M&M” on my homescreen! :D
