Sounds sorta like the title of a children’s book. I call dibs.
So Gears of War designer Cliffy B has decided that his nickname is SO 2007. Now he’s asking to be known as Cliff.
“It’s time to grow up a bit,” said … uh… Cliff, in a recent statement to MTV.
HALT.
You make video games, Clifford.
I hope he’s not serious about this whole growing up thing. Grown ups don’t think up stuff like chainsaw duels and emergence holes. Grown ups come up with ideas like “Let’s do Call of Duty 5 back in World War 2.”
The guy’s name is like “totally household” amongst families that consist entirely of hardcore gamers. Why on Earth give up that “brand awareness” to become plain old Cliff.
Besides, “Cliff” is already taken.

Keep the “B” Cliff. Cliffy… Cliffy B.

@ andyg
Don’t forget Cliff Richard, Cliff McNish and Cliff Burton…
You’re right Doc.
He shouldn’t change it to Cliff.
Cliffy B gives him a uniqueness… Like Gears itself.

Cliffy B just sounds cool. Why grow up? You’ll just lose your imagination that comes with acting half your age and you wont be cool anymore.
I’m still calling you Cliffy B.
Even though you’ll probably never read this.

He’ll remain CliffyB until he can produce a Gears of War game with a well developed storyline
