Wii Fit Pre-Order Hawtness!

April 16th, 2008 at 11:00 am · 4 Comments

Yesterday, Nintendo announced that the US version of Wii Fit will arrive on May 19th for the price of $89.99. So, if the game is $50, which would be way too much for a mini-game collection, that’s $40 for this bathroom scale? Do the Japanese really think us Americans are that big? I know I’ve gained a few pounds over the past year or so, but I don’t think my scale needs an extra $20 of work to hold me up.

At least, I hope it doesn’t…

Of course, Nintendo also released a statement to calm your fears in an attempt to justify their price point. If you pre-order from the Nintendo World Store in New York between April 18th and 20th and be one of the first 1,000 to do so, you get to treat yourself to a snazzy Wii-Fit t-shirt with a stamp of Shigeru Miyamoto’s signature on it. That t-shirt, by the way, is about as effective as the Sarcastic Gamer t-shirt for attracting the opposite sex.

Just in case you forgot what the Wii Fit is, here’s our Sarcastic Gamer Wii Fit promo:

Are you getting Wii Fit? If so, what do you think about this news? Hop on over to our forums and watch the time slip away while you discuss this.

Seriously, if someone gave me a Wii Fit board, I’d make one of those “I got it and smashed it” YouTube videos.

What a STUPID way to waste $100.. Anyone who buys this should spend some time at a strip bar and learn how to properly waste money.

So they want to give me a T-shirt with Miyamoto’s signature on it…what’s in it for me?

Thank god I got my Wii for Christmas, because if I had to pay for it with my own money, I would be pissed. I expect to see Nintendo become a flash-games-only company in the near future.

if it gets nintendo fans laid then its well worth it. otherwise just fight homeless people to get in shape, its much cheaper.
