Naturally, I bought it. However I have noticed a few inaccuracies on the shirt that only a gamer would notice. Read about the unnaturally intricate design flaws I’ve discovered, and find out how big of a nerd I really am, after the jump!
1. For starters, the colors are wrong. In the original game all the enemies were white, whereas here they are colored in several ridiculous hues. Tsk, tsk. Now, I don’t hold this against the shirt, as it is a fashion item, not a screenshot. However as a historical memento, it verges on blasphemy.
2. There is only one shield. The original arcade game had 4. Now, it is entirely possible that the player was of my gaming skill and shot the other 3 shields, by accident. That’s pretty unlikely. I’m ruling with an iron fist and counting this as another error. Nope, don’t even try to change my mind. The man has spoken.
3. The one shield that’s there is in the wrong place. There are 4 shields in the original version, and as 4 is an even number, there is no shield directly in the middle, like this one is. It is impossible to move the shields so this is definitely a mistake.
4. There’s is no ship! It looks as if the shield is the thing that is shooting. Impossible! Oh dear.
5. The lives and score are in the wrong place. They should be at the top of the shirt.
6. I am not 100% sure on this one, but I think the enemy types are in the wrong order.
7. There are too many enemies! The original never had so many terrifying foes, and this many opponents would throw me off my game.
Well there you have it all the inaccuracies on this space invader T-shirt. Wow, I’m a nerd. I’m sure I’ve missed a few more errors, so if you spot them then just tell us in the comment box.
Despite the errors, I have to say it looks rather fetching on my muscular physique and I would recommend you go out and pick it up.
Note: I bought the shirt here

they actually used to put coloured strips over the screens though so it wasn’t all monochrome!
I would prefer the shirt a little less overstated though, also true to the orginal and mabey a ufo at the top

How did the player shoot the blue enemy in the 2nd row? Can you do that??

Yeah, the order of the characters is wrong, there were multiple rows of individual enemies… but still were clumped together in rows. Meaning, there would be say two rows of the same enemy, then no repeating.

you need some nerdtacular T-Shhirts? I dig this guys stuff http://www.arcadetees.com
The site is a bit broken but the shirts are sweet if your old school. Everyone should have a Tron and Robotron t-shirt IMO.

Is it possible to shoot to the middle of the pink lines, take out an enemy, then still have a laser thingy there (and one of the blue enemies is gone too)? Also, could the score possibly be “0″… I mean there are guys that got shot down…. wouldn’t there be at least a few points.

Aha! Another one. The enemies are stacked alternating like bricks, not straight columns like they’re supposed to be. The way they are it would’ve been impossible to have shot that one blue guy and that other pink guy.

@ GrimResistance
you are 1/2 correct. The blocks move in different directions so the order that tehy are in is possible, however(!) you are correct that there is no way what so ever that the blue could have been hit
