While I’m thoroughly enjoying GTA IV at the moment… yeah, I would agree with Lono. A little bit underwhelming. If you’ve never played a GTA game before, you’re going to be blown away, but if you’ve played the previous three or even the PSP ones, you’re going to be kinda unimpressed.
You’ll still love it to death, but it’s still just the same GTA engine tarted up. Same mission structure, same everything. I love the mobile phone and a lot of the new stuff, even the bowling, especially the darts (which is too frickin’ easy, but whatever), but - yeah. It’s all a bit “So what” so far.

Parris reviewed it, and he already said that the pop-up is not as bad as Mass Effect. How does that make you feel?

@ Doro626: It makes me feel optimistically pensive …

Lono. All I can say is AMEN BROTHER. I am new to GTA. I did buy this game because it did look really good, but man I find myself having the same impressions as you. So far the game is boring. Don’t flame or hate, its just my opinion. I will continue to play and give it more time. I do want to see more of the city and get into these helicopters that I hear about. But yeah, initial impressions are not that great.
