Halo 3 offering 100x XP Weekend!

I’m not even gonna sugar coat this one… This email came straight from Bungie’s PR Team:

“Please play Halo 3 online this weekend! Please, please, please, pretty please…”

The Bungie begging continues, after the jump.

In an effort to climb the Xbox Live charts, Bungie has gone off the deep end. Instead of their regular 2x XP weekends playing some obscure gametype to get the masses interested in their sagging product, Bungie has offered to multiply your XP by one hundred, calling it the 100x XP weekend.

Burt Daniels of Bungie explains, “People just aren’t responding to the 2x weekends so we thought we’d up the anty. We’re also promising to be your ‘best friend forever’ if you play.”

After the brief explanation, the email just goes on and on…

“Please, please, please, please, pretty please with sugar on top, please play our game. Pretty please with a cherry on top? Please, please, please, please, please, please…”

The email ended with the following promise for next weekend’s plans,

“After the 100xp weekend, we’re gonna give pony’s away!”

Sounds like a winner to me. Sign me up for that pony!

I don’t care if Bungie gave 10000x XP weekends, free achievements for playing, and recon for anybody that joins a game…I’ll be DAMNED if you’ll find me doing anything except cappin’ fools in Creek Bed, Killhouse, Broadcast, and Chinatown.

Too bad you can’t save films in COD4. But then again, when players rack up 50 kills in 1 game, what’s the point ? I’m just not a fan, sorry.
