As we inch closer to April 29th release of the savior-of-gaming, duck-humpers all over the internet are posting videos on Youtube purporting to show off their possession of Grand Theft Auto 4. The video below is just the latest in a long line of videos, made by people with access to fantastic printing assets, forgetting minor details. Like Holograms. A video and a chance to win some XBLM points after the jump.
Yeah he forgot that all Xbox games come with a hologram on the inner ring, plus did you catch the spine? Was that Arial Black font there? Sorry bud, you fail.
As a result of all of this hoopla, it is a really fun time in gaming. I haven’t seen so many people, so excited, about anything in a long time. Frankly, I think this has even Halo 3 trumped, though only by a narrow margin. Right now, the only thing you need to be a Youtube superstar is a video camera and a decent printer. You’d better stay out of the comments area unless you’ve got a skin thicker than John Elway’s eyebrows.

While I’m sceptical of leaked GTA4(I even came up with a couple of ways how that guy could’ve tricked 360Voice.) this looks kinda real.
I know that disc lack hologram etc. but I’m not sure what freak would go as far as recreating the whole intro.
@Jakub, not very difficult to create a movie drop it on a DVD and load ‘er up. The video nicely ends before the faux load bar maxes out… thow I’m sure others can take it as far as putting a DVD menu after says “Press Start”… and then end before any actual game play or cut scenes. Notice the intro was all static pictures and text? The guy is good w/ photoshop and movie maker. But not good w/ that font on the side.
Some people will go far to trick ppl into thinking they’re cool.
*though (I’m sure that’s not my only mistake, but it’s the worst and most annoying to me). I’m tired this morning, need more caffeine.

No vidoe camera so it’s a little harder to prove that this is the real deal. Went to my local indie game store and my buddy slipped me a copy of their first delivery. I was amazed! The cover art is just fantastic. I know this asks for vids but you’ll just have to believe the photos.

I had to think of something that no one would think of doing. You already did the wii version with showing footage, so I figured a PC version would be appropriate! Doc never said I had to make the game… the footage is mine, and I edited it together… crudely… but it works…
I wonder how many more people are going to be submitting theirs… there’s only a couple of days left. Now I need to work on a “ring tone”
Mine is on the way. I recoreded it in .mov so am having to spend absolutely ages surfing the net for a free converter or a quicktime movie editor. I might have just found a movie editor… Fingers crossed. Nice entries, guys.

Yeah but I’ve shot it in three different clips, and I had no way of stringing them together. I eventually found a trial program that managed to do it and edited the video in Windows Movie Maker. Recently my internet has started to screws every time I try an upload anything bigger than 500kb however, so I have a friend uploading the video tonight for me. I’ll have the link up later.
